Message from the Program Director
On behalf of the faculty and staff of the Department of Neurology at Albany Medical Center, I would like to thank you for your interest in our Pain Medicine Fellowship. This is a one-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship. The mission of the Pain Medicine Fellowship at Albany Medical Center is to provide comprehensive training in acute, chronic, and interventional pain management. The Pain Medicine fellow will acquire the medical knowledge and technical skills necessary to independently practice pain medicine in a safe and effective manner through a multidisciplinary education process. These goals are realized through directed study, independent learning, clinical service rotations and subspecialty experiences guided by a faculty devoted to graduate medical education. It is expected that graduates of this training program will attain certification by the American Board of Pain Medicine.

- The most up-to-date monitoring and treatment paradigms for pain patients
- Congenial environment among faculty, fellows and residents in all disciplines
