Message from the Program Director

Dr. Michael Rosenblum standing near a brick wall

Thank you for your interest in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Albany Medical College.

The Department of Medicine at Albany Medical College is proud of our longstanding tradition of academic excellence. Albany Medical College was founded in 1839 and is one of the oldest medical colleges in the United States. Albany Medical Center is a regional referral center, emphasizing highly complex, specialty-oriented care for a 25-county area with a population of more than two million adults. This large population provides an extraordinary breadth of pathology and care experiences for the training of Internal Medicine residents.

Our program blends clinical and academic excellence with the delivery of exemplary and sophisticated patient care. We actively encourage and assist our residents in attaining their individual goals and take a personal interest in maximizing each resident’s growth.

We invite you to review the information on this site, and to contact us for more information. We hope that your “virtual” visit will let you learn about us as you consider your choices for residency. We look forward to meeting you and thank you for visiting us today!

Good luck as you plan this critically important step on your academic journey of your career in medicine.

Sincerely,

Michael Rosenblum, MD, MACP
