Our ACGME-accredited Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program provides a diversity of learning experiences. This is the result of a unique collaboration of flagship organizations in our region:
- Albany Medical College and Albany Medical Center, the region’s only tertiary care center, and the affiliated Stratton Veterans Administration Medical Center provide faculty in a range of inpatient and outpatient practice sites, including primary care home care.
- The Eddy, a comprehensive continuum of health care, including rehabilitation, hospice, supportive housing and community services that reaches 22 counties and serves more than 40,000 people yearly.
Participants will have completed a residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
The design permits completion of the program in 12 contiguous months, however, the program does have the flexibility to allow a practicing physician to also maintain continuity in his or her own practice. Upon completion of the fellowship, the physician will be eligible for board certification in the subspecialty of Geriatric Medicine.
