About the Program
The Albany Medical College Geriatric Medicine Fellowship prepares physicians to provide older adults with medical complexity and functional impairment with the best possible care using evidence-based best practices focused on preservation of independence, caregiver support, and what matters most to the person.
The Geriatric Medicine Fellowship is a collaboration of the Albany Medical Center Department of Medicine and Eddy Senior Living. The Eddy is a comprehensive continuum of health care, supportive housing, and community services that reaches 22 counties and serves more than 40,000 people yearly. The program encompasses acute, ambulatory, community, Veteran's Administration, and long-term care experiences.
Our program prides itself on its ability to accommodate physicians from every career stage, from fresh out of residency to mid- and late career, including those engaged in parallel educational pursuits in this era of online learning.
