Thank you for your interest in the Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at Albany Medical College!

Selection of fellows is conducted exclusively through the National Registry Matching Program. Acceptance into the program is predicated upon eligibility for, or certification by, the American Board of Surgery. Successful completion of a five-year ACGME-accredited general surgery residency program, with documentation, is required to apply to our Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship Program.

Submission of an application through Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) must also include:

• CV and personal statement
• Three letters of recommendation (including one from your current program director or department chair)
• Dean's letter
• A copy of your diploma
• A copy of your transcript with the official seal
• ABSITE scores
• A valid ECFMG certificate (if a foreign graduate.) Albany Medical College accepts only the J-1 visa.
