Nathan Gardner, DMSc, PA-C
Dr. Nathan Gardner is the Program Director and an Assistant Professor in the Center for PA Studies at Albany Medical College. He is a lifelong resident of the Capital Region. He has been a part of the Albany Medical Center community in multiple roles, starting as a volunteer as a teen, working as a phlebotomist before PA school, and as a PA in Albany Medical Center's high-acuity Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. In the community he worked for many years in primary care and currently also works per diem in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Gardner earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Rochester Institute of Technology, his Master of Science degree as a PA from Albany Medical College, and his Doctor of Medical Science degree from A.T. Still University. He joined the faculty of the Center in 2015 and was appointed director in 2019. In addition to his duties as director, Dr. Gardner is also the course coordinator for Counseling for Preventative Medicine Course.
