Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) Position Department of Molecular and Cellular Physiology
The Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiology (MCP) at Albany Medical College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor position. We seek candidates who are using innovative molecular, cellular, and/or genomic approaches to address crucial (patho)physiological mechanisms. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an independent research program and to contribute to graduate and medical physiology education. Applicants with transition career awards and a record of research productivity are encouraged to apply.
MCP offers a highly collaborative research environment and extensive mentoring for junior faculty development. The College is home to internationally recognized members of the vascular biology, inflammation, metabolic disease, cancer, and imaging fields. Its central location within the Albany Medical Center campus fosters translational activities with clinical faculty. A PhD degree and three years of productive post-doctoral experience are minimal requirements for appointment at the assistant professor level.
