The Department of Regenerative & Cancer Cell Biology includes Core Laboratories that provide modern instrumentation and technical support. Our labs include studies of malignant and benign tumors, cell differentiation, shape, and proliferation, gene expression, angiogenesis, kidney fibrosis, and much more. Faculty and Research Directory
PhD & MS Programs
Students enrolled in the MS program typically take two to three years to complete their requirements, with didactic courses completed in a year-and-a-half. Students typically require five to six years to complete the requirements to obtain a PhD degree, with didactic courses completed in two years.
Graduate students perform research in projects designed to train and prepare them for successful careers in academic research and basic & applied science in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry.

Graduate students perform leading-edge research projects designed to train and prepare them for a successful path toward an increasingly wide range of available careers. The administrative and technical support staff in offices, laboratories, and in our core facilities contribute to the team effort in the department.
Our mission is to provide a dynamic and supportive scientific environment enabling students to achieve excellence in research by emphasizing critical thinking, creativity, complex reasoning, and written and oral communication skills. Graduate students perform research in projects designed to train and prepare them for successful careers in academic research and basic and applied science in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry.
Educational Goals

After Graduation
Our alumni have built successful careers across diverse endeavors. Alumni from our graduate program are recruited into leading research laboratories from our nation's foremost institutions and have secured permanent positions in both academia and industry.
