Research

Leading the Way

Albany Medical College leads New York's Capital Region in research funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), with 35 grants in 2022 totaling $11.5 million, according to an analysis by the Center for Economic Growth (CEG).

The financial support our scientists consistently receive from the NIH is critical to their studies, and a significant indicator of the importance of their ongoing work to understand the mechanisms of disease and lay the groundwork for new treatments and therapies.
