Light up the Night

Friday, July 10, 2015
7:30 p.m. to midnight
Saratoga National Golf Club, Saratoga Springs

Hannah Lowe, age 16
“Somehow the angels at Albany Med kept Hannah here today,” Kate Brayman, Hannah’s mom

This event celebrates the thousands of lives saved annually by the physicians and staff at Albany Med’s Emergency Department and the important role that Albany Med plays as our region’s lifeline, providing the most compassionate, state-of-the-art emergency health care in northeastern New York. And as the only Level I Trauma Center in the 25 counties it serves, Albany Med is truly the region’s lifeline.

On July 12, 2014, Hannah Lowe, 16, was struck by a car while walking in Kingston. She was rushed by helicopter to Albany Med’s Emergency Department. In less than 24 hours, Albany Med physicians determined Hannah needed a bilateral craniectomy, neurosurgery that allowed room for her swelling brain to expand. Thanks to Albany Med’s skilled and swift emergency care, today Hannah is on track to graduate from high school in June 2016 and pursue her dream of studying pediatric medicine.

Children's Hospital Radiothon

Thank you for your support during the 17th annual AM 810 and 103.1 FM News Talk WGY and 99.5 The River Cares for Kids Radiothon. The Capital Region community turned out for our youngest patients by donating $245,136 to benefit the Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center, the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital

Lead sponsors of the Radiothon were Keeler Motor Car Company, Price Chopper Supermarkets and Freihofer’s Baking Company. More than 120 volunteers took pledges from callers during the 25-hour event.  Every dollar raised allows the children’s hospital to purchase new equipment and support programs and services.

See you next year for the 18th annual Radiothon!
