Everyone should have a personal and family disaster plan. Such plans should include specific items that you should set aside for use only in an emergency such as water, non-perishable food items, flashlights and batteries, and blankets. Also, plans should include information for family members detailing how to contact one another in an emergency. There are several resources available at the www.ready.gov.
