Message from Chair, David Clark, MD
Whether you child needs a simple checkup or treatment for a more serious illness or injury, The Children’s Hospital at Albany Med, the region’s only hospital exclusively for children, is here, ready to provide the highest quality of care available today.
Our modern facilities include the region’s only Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We are excited that this unit will expand in the fall of 2013 as we move to Albany Medical Center’s new state-of-the-art Patient Pavilion. We also are the only medical facility in the region that maintains round-the-clock pediatric emergency services and a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
Among our team of 110 physicians include not only general pediatricians, but those trained in 34 subspecialties medicine, such as pediatric neurology, pulmonology and pediatric infectious disease. Because they serve as faculty members at Albany Medical College, patients and their families have access to the most innovative treatments available today.
And, because we know that nothing is more stressful than having a child who is ill or injured and in need of medical care, our staff is here not only to give children the latest, highest quality and very best medical care, but to listen and work with parents to assure a smooth transition back to good health.
David Clark, MD
