The weekly resident conference schedule includes:
- Didactic Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Conferences
- Gross Pathology Conference
- Surgical Pathology Case Conference
- Cytology Conference
- Journal Club is held monthly
Interdepartmental Conferences
Second, third and fourth year residents present at all interdepartmental conferences, including breast, endocrine, gastrointestinal, thoracic, gynecologic, urologic and hematologic tumor conferences. They also are regular contributors to medicine and pediatric morbility and mortality conferences.
Visiting Professor Series
Each year the Department's Visiting Professor Series hosts nationally and internationally respected anatomic and clinical pathologists. As part of the visit, each guest conducts a luncheon seminar with the residents.
Teaching Activities
Pathology residents take an active role in medical student education at Albany Medical College. Interested residents also teach classes in the Medical Center's Physician Assistant Program.
