 First Year Residents - Class of 2014

Mark Hunter, M.D.
University of Vermont College of Medicine

Interest:  I am thrilled to be continuing my graduate medical education in Otolaryngology at Albany Medical Center. Although I’m interested in further sub specializing in Otolaryngology and pursuing a career in academic medicine, I am currently enjoying the clinical experience my intern year has to offer.

Adam Weisstuch, M.D.
New York University School of Medicine

Interest:  At this stage in my career my interests within Otolaryngology are broad. I look forward to having the next five years to delve into all realms of this field.

Second Year Residents - Class of 2013

Pardis Javadi, M.D.
Medical College of Wisconsin

Interest:  I enjoy all aspects of Otolaryngology, specially head & neck Surgery and facial reconstruction. In the future I plan to remain in the academic setting where I will have the opportunity to train future generations of Otolaryngologists.

 

Jason Roberts, M.D.
Brody School of Medicine

Interest: I love anything related to Otolaryngology. Although most of my past research has revolved around otology, I am unclear in what fellowship area I will pursue yet.  However, my future aspirations in Otolaryngology are currently leaning towards academic medicine.

 

Third Year Residents - Class of 2012

Niklaus Eriksen, M.D.
Wake Forest University School of Medicine

Interest: So for I am enjoying all aspects of ENT.  I am interested in completing fellowship training after my residency, however at this point I am undecided in regard to which subspecialty to pursue.

Andrew Azer, M.D.
University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey 

Interest:  I enjoy the tremendous variety offered in otolaryngology and would therefore enjoy practicing general otolaryngology, although I cannot rule out a subspecialty fellowship if I am especially drawn to a single aspect of otolaryngology over the remaining years of my training.

Fourth Year Residents - Class of 2011

Lowell Gurey, M.D.
University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey   

Interest:   Now that I’ve finished my 3rd year of residency, an end is finally in sight. At this point, I have a strong interest in laryngology and plan to pursue further sub-specialty training.


Cormac DePan, M.D.
Albany Medical College

Interest:  I am originally from the Albany area and have may contacts in upstate New York.  I plan on going into private practice upon completion of residency.  


 

Chief Residents - Class of 2010

Rima Abraham, M.D.
Temple University School of Medicine

Interest: The exciting field of otolaryngology has proven to be a great career choice!  Beyond general otolaryngology, I have special clinical and research interests in diseases of the larynx. Upon graduating, I will be completing a laryngology fellowship in Philadelphia and hope to care for problems of airway, swallowing and voice.


Nora Perkins, M.D.
Albany Medical College

Interest:  I enjoy all aspects of Otolaryngology, and therefore plan to join a practice after residency and perform a broad variety of both medical and surgical Otolaryngology.
