Third-year residents reflect the latter part of second year with the addition of transport calls.  These calls are during pediatric elective months and involve transferring children by ambulance and at times by helicopter from outside facilities to our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

The Q2 Month Switch

Albany Med is one of only a handful of programs that alternate on a bimonthly basis.  This allows for greater information retention and seamless exposure to both adults and children to better reflect future practice.  This also enhances both familiarity to attendings and fellow residents.
