Albany Medical Center provides care in all areas of General Surgery. The faculty of the Division of General Surgery maintain offices within the Medical Center complex enabling ready access of residents to faculty and their clinical activities .Faculty utilize the inpatient, ambulatory surgery, Critical Care unit , Emergency Room and outpatient clinic areas of the Albany Medical Center in performing their clinical , educational and research activities.
Samuel Stratton Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center provides additional training in all aspects of General Surgery. Faculty at this facility hold appointments as full time members of the Albany Medical College and the Division of General Surgery.
All aspects of care for the surgical patients are provided.
St. Peter’s Hospital is a large community hospital to which our residents rotate for training in General Thoracic Surgery
The affiliated hospital are proximate, enabling ready attendance at all educational conferences and other activities of the Residency Program.
